Hey y’all, man have I really slacked and been MIA. The year of 2023 had so many challenges and so many blessings at the same time. I was very disobedient to the Lord and did not write to y’all like I was asked to do. Well today I am stopping that and I am going to train myself to be intentional this year. I won’t be perfect because, well I am only human.
So lets dive in on the year of 2023, we started the year off with 2 kids at home (surprise we had a baby in November of 2022) that got sick often that season. My husband had 2 surgeries and one resulted with a permanent spinal cord stimulator implanted (the first surgery was the trial run for that stimulator). Danyal started at the public school because he really did not want to learn from me. Our marriage got worse, and by worse I mean almost ended.

Our chaos was not at all for God’s Kingdom. It was messy, stressful, and honestly I hated waking up most days. However we know that Genesis 50:20 states that “What the enemy meant for evil God will use it for Good.” This year is starting off a lot better! God is working some miracles and changing hearts.
He has not only been working on Derek and I’s hearts but also our support system. The people we hang out with has changed drastically. It is not that we don’t love those we were around a lot before, or that they are bad people. In fact that is quite the opposite, We still love them and they are good people. However sometimes people are only in your life for a season, and a specific purpose. While we miss them we know we have to be obedient to God.
So join me as we begin a new journey to a healthy life, not just our physical health (more on this later), but our spiritual health as well.
