Counting My Blessings

As I sit here today watching the Cheifs AFC Championship game my mind has been wondering. Tomorrow (Monday 1/31/22) my Husband and I consult with my Doctor concerning a recent diagnosis I received (non-life threatening) that we have to learn to navigate. The navigation of relearning how to approach things is not new to us as 3 years ago I was diagnosed with a gluten allergy. We had to learn what foods I needed to avoid and what ingredients could hide gluten on a nutrition label. Yet is still find myself worrying about what this new journey will bring. I know that God’s got this so, I have to catch the thoughts and make them obedient to God (2 Cor. 10:5).

When the struggles you are facing are weighing on you, stop and take a look at what is right in front of you. God has blessed me with a Husband who is chasing Jesus’ love to chase our love, a son who has a heart for Jesus already (his favorite bible stories so far are Jonah and Big Fish, Noah’s Ark, and Daniel and the Lion’s Den), a bonus daughter who is working towards her dreams and changes for no one, another bonus daughter who is figuring out what her dreams are, and a bonus son who loves working and his family. An avenue to share a story for others who may think they are alone and to share God’s love through it. God has blessed me more than I ever thought he could with my past. As I remember these blessings I cling to them and to the fact that nothing I could ever do could separate me from Christ because Jesus > Everything. I pray that as you sit on this beautiful Sunday that you remember the blessings despite the struggles you may be facing!

Much Love!
