I’m not sure I even know where to begin with this one. I have sat down several times to write over the last week and while the words come they don’t stay. So much has happened on top of the already busy schedule as we lead up to baby boy’s arrival. Some days I’m in awe of what God is doing. Other days I’m wondering why, but everyday I am praising him for who he is. There are a lot of unknowns when you choose to trust the Lord with everything.
While the unknowns pile up and sometimes feel overwhelming and daunting, there are things I do know. I was given a gift this morning that sparked this train of thought and it was a new coffee mug (Good thing I I have one hook left on my coffee bar!) and a matching journal. On them both it says “Let your faith be bigger than your fear”. You see those unknowns can be used by the enemy to insight fear and doubt, but God…. so let’s list the truths that I do know
- God’s mercies are new each morning (Lamentations 3:22-24)
- My weakness is God’s strength (2 Corinthians 12:9)
- God is good (Psalm 100:5, Psalm 107:1)
- God works all things out for Good (Genesis 50:20, Romans 8:28)
- He will never leave me or forsake me (Deuteronomy 31:8)
- He fights for me (Exodus 14:14, Deuteronomy 3:22, 1 Sam. 17:47
- He is my refuge and my strength (Psalm 46:1, Psalm 91)
- His love never fails (Psalm 36:5, 118:1, 136:1 , Romans 8:37-39)
- God already knows what happens (Jeremiah 29:11)
- God has already WON the VICTORY (1 For. 15:57, John 16:33)
I could probably make a longer list, but our daughter has preschool today. So while the chaos my rage around me I will not be consumed by it. The enemy can try all he wants but I am armored up and ready to go.
I pray that if you are in a similar season of life that you find encouragement in the list I made. Maybe post it on your fridge, or bathroom mirror and remind yourself daily! You wildflower do not need to worry God’s holding you and he is El Roi, The God who sees!
